People who live in the Middle East countries like UAE are acquainted with its climate drop of 40-ish during summer. Imagine a raw egg to be cooked outside your house in minutes! Yes, that’s how hot it can be in the UAE (Ok, I’m exaggerating here). But hey, UAE does have perfect months when the weather heat is totally bearable just right before the winter months – September to November. There are also other ways to feel cool rather than going to shopping malls or putting your AC on high 24/7. A place where you can escape the heat and have fun with your family and friends – Water Parks.
Two of the water parks Wild Wadi and Atlantis Aquaventure from Dubai UAE were part of the top 10 waterparks in the world according to TripAdvisor’s 2015 travelers choice awards. We’re lucky to experience both and two other. These water amusements never fail to give us that adrenaline rush and cool us down at the same time.
Wild Wadi – Dubai UAE
With its location in front of the stunning icons of Dubai – Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah hotel, this waterpark is our personal favorite not only for its luxurious sights but for its amazing rides and friendly staff! Our visit was definitely a great day filled with adventurous experience because of the Master Blasters and at the same time relaxed and laid back, talking about the Flood River. The Master Blasters is a series of driven water jets that will take you to an aquatic roller coaster ride as you ride in tubes while the Flood River give you litres of cold water surprises in one section. With such a combination of activities, safety, hospitality and uniqueness, a visit to Wild Wadi will no doubt have you coming back for more. Entrance fee is AED 250.

Atlantis Aquaventure – Dubai, UAE
Aquaventure is the jewel crown of water parks in Dubai which is perfectly located at the Palm Islands, Atlantis. It has 7 water slides and one of them is the Leap of Fate which is 27.5 tall and 61 meters long. The park is spotlessly clean, lifebuoys/floating gears looks new, there’s plenty of space to relax which includes access to the beach. Don’t forget to wear swim shoes as the ground is hot in summer. Entrance fee is AED 275. You can save up to AED 60 per person when you book your tickets online at least 24 hours in advance. And if it’s your birthday, you can receive a free Aquaventure Waterpark day pass to use anytime during your birthday week!

Dreamland Aquapark – Umm Al Quwain, UAE
Located about more than an hour drive from Dubai. Dreamland Aquapark area is not massive compare with other waterparks in the UAE but it is enough to leave us with fun-filled unique experience. Our personal favorite was the dark dragon twisted ride. Dark in the sense of you can’t see anything inside a tube for about 5 seconds while dropping. Isn’t it interesting? 🙂 Entrance fee is AED 160.
