One thing I love the most about Dubai is how in just one city, people from different countries live together peacefully and enjoy each other’s company. A living proof is the Global Village, a place where everybody of different nationalities seem to be cheery. We have been to Global Village a few times in the past. However I believe that every year it is getting better. With so many places to see in Dubai, this has to be one of my favorites! Global Village is the largest outdoor family destination and theme park with a fantastic display of international culture, presenting a great insight into many countries products and traditions. It is a fun wonderland right in the heart of Dubai. With a fusion of different cultures, Global Village is truly a place you need to visit.
What’s New in Global Village?
We were stunned to see the enhanced infrastructures especially the grand entrance of India’s Taj Mahal. From its changing lights color, huge size, intricate details, I must admit that they’ve chosen the best landmark to welcome the visitors.
Most of the pavilion facades have been redesigned to provide better representation of the culture and heritage of each country. As soon as you get inside, famous landmarks from Europe – France Eiffel tower, London Big Ben, Rome Colosseum can be seen on the left aisle. These are part of the new enhancements they made.
The entire area 17,200,000 sq. ft has 31 pavilions featuring different countries or continents with numerous stalls, shops and restaurants celebrating the culture and traditions of that place. And as Dubai goes this place also has to set a record right? It is claimed to be the largest tourism, leisure and entertainment project in the world! Last year alone, Global Village said to receive 5 million visitors in five months.
