One of the most recognizable hotels in Bur Juman road stretch, the Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel of Dubai is perhaps the perfect base among business and leisure travelers. And for someone like us, expats and even locals can enjoy a good staycation here. The location of this 5 star hotel, right between ADCB and Bur Juman metro stations is highly central. It’s situated just across the Bur Juman mall, 10 minutes away from the airport, close to Dubai World Trade Center, DIFC or other business areas, and within 1 or 2 stations distance to the historical sites and museums.
Presently, this SWHG property has a portfolio of 31 properties in the Asia Pacific Region and other parts of the world. Good thing, it reached Dubai and we got the opportunity to stay in a hotel that we’re so curious about. As we’re leaving nearby the area, we’re always fascinated by the amount of guests the hotel receives every time we pass by. Let us take you to our hotel stay and dining experience in Park Regis Kris Kin 🙂
The lobby is cozy and functional at the same time. I found the reception staff very courteous. The area was spacious and well-lit. Beside the lobby, the hotel has a coffee lounge called Marhaba which is an ideal place to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee together with a bite snack or light meal. It is open from 8am to 11pm.
We we’re accompanied to our room and asked our ids for checking in. It was our first time to check-in inside the comfort of our room! With a few minutes, Mr. Mobin gladly handed our keycards and complimentary WIFI password. He also explained the stay inclusions and brief details about the hotel.
Upon entering our Superior Queen Room on the 17th floor where the Burj Executive and Suites are located too, we we’re greeted by a lovely welcome note, a bottle of red wine and a mixed platter of fruits, sweets and cheese which we took to immediate liking! Is there anything better than this? 🙂
The room looked elegant and presents a modern architectural touch, with glass windows, minimalistic lavish furniture and spotless finishing. It’s published as 38.5 sqm but we think it’s more than that as it’s looked very spacious! We could have invited 20 guests over and still had room to move.
As much as I wanted to explore first our beautiful room, our stomach was crying so we first have our Pan Asian buffet dinner at Kris with a View. It’s like a romantic dinner date for us complete with a beautiful setting, stunning views of the city and sumptuous food. You can view our full dining experience here!
I was so excited to return to our room and explore the room facilities. I felt a bit full so I chose to make my tea first from the complimentary tea/coffee making facilities area and chill at the coffee table. Teas are made from Sri Lanka! You guys know how much I love the Ceylon tea from this country 🙂 I turned on the huge LCD flat TV but I ended up closing it as I cannot decide with its working 106 channels! We’ve been to some hotels where the TV is just a display. So this is a plus point to me. Besides, I’m a confessed social media addict so I just connected myself to the WIFI which is highly commendable. The connection was great and fast! You know how much we love such kind of hotels! 🙂
While the husband open up his laptop in the fully functioning work desk and did a little work – video edits for our FB page.
After finishing my tea, I decided to take shower first. The bathroom was extremely spacious and I was immediately taken aback by the size of it as I’m only used to seeing bathrooms of such scale in suite rooms! It came with a bathtub and separate enclosures for the toilet and shower. It is flawlessly clean that I thought no one ever used it before.
Toiletries were from The White Company (London products) and I can say that the hotel has great attention to the comfort of its guests as dental kits are already present (which we always asked with other hotels) together with razor, vanity kit and shower cap. There are 2 bathrobes, one inside the toilet and one is placed at the walk-in closet which is perfect for us ladies as its very roomy! Other amenities are a fully-stocked minibar, in room safe, iron & ironing board, shoe cleaning tools. Park Regis really knows its guest needs 🙂
After a couple of wine and chat, bedtime came and I had one of the best sleeps ever at this hotel! Our bed was very comfortable, cozy and roomy. There’s a provided pillow options too so make sure to ask if you’re not relaxed. The husband and I both lay down without bumping into one another, so you know for a fact that their beds are perfect for relaxing in.
Best thing here is the bedside room management control system – we didn’t bother to stand up and operate the lighting or air condition. You can also adjust the wake up/alarm setting, ask to make up your room or inform them to wait or don’t disturb, all in the comfort of your bed. Actually, everything in the hotel looks modern and high tech. That’s super cool Park Regis! 🙂
Another thing worth noting was how effective the room curtains were in blocking out the light. If it were not for the alarm buzzing the next morning, I would have thought that I actually woke up in the mid of night!
Morning came and when we opened the door a complimentary Gulf newspaper was hanged on it. We browsed it after the breakfast.
Breakfast at Le Metro – All Day Dining Restaurant
As much as I wanted to sleep more, my always hungry husband was so ready for the breakfast at Le Metro, Park Regis all day dining restaurant. The restaurant offers a buffet selection for breakfast and lunch and an a la carte menu in the evening. We have a head start at 7am before more crowds came in. Buffet starts at 5:30 AM.
The buffet here has a decent range of breakfast food for guests and is more on the functional side with items from the Western countries. We clearly know why as the hotel is jam-packed with tourists all over the world! Pastries and bread were really fresh and pretty delectable. Salads, cheeses & cold cuts, bacon, baked cheese, hash brown, sausages, baked beans, waffles & pancakes, cereals and more.
Featuring an egg station, guests may requests for their own rendition of any egg dish. Fresh fruits and juices are also served. What we mainly loved about the breakfast at Le Metro was the extensive variety of food items on offer combined with high quality. Somewhere else, it would just be either but seldom both.
Le Metro is located in the main lobby, open from 5.30 am to 11.30pm.
After a great sumptuous breakfast, we opt to rove around the hotel to check out the facilities and to somehow dissolve the food 🙂 Facilities-wise, the hotel has an integrated wellness area located at the rooftop. There’s a gym which certainly provide something for everyone, for kick-starting your fitness regime. It impressively had complete latest training gears which are more than enough for a full body workout. But NO, we haven’t tried the gym as we’re not gym buffs :p
There’s a functional Jacuzzi and sauna/steam facilities too. And nothing better with a rooftop pool with killer views! We chose not to dip and just enjoy the view. For tourists if you want to visit Dubai mall and Jumeirah beach, the hotel gladly provides free shuttle services too.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Park Regis Kris Kin, it was an incredibly relaxing stay and the hotel staff went out of their way to make sure everything we needed was provided. Great for both business and leisure, the property is perhaps one of the most compelling hotels in the country. One practically need not to leave Park Regis while staying here unless attending to some business or sightseeing activities.
We’d like to thank the whole staff and the team behind this hotel especially to Ms. Iman and Mr. Mobin. You guys are awesome! THANK YOU 🙂
