Our month long travel to Europe includes a one night stay at the city of Brussels. Since it’s only for a short time, we make sure to experience the best of the city starting off with staying in the best hotel in town – The Hotel Brussels. Upon seeing their sleekly designed website, our expectations was nothing but the best in terms of the facilities, rooms, restaurants and the views that guests are raving about in travel websites! And as cliché as it may sound “first impressions really lasts”. Let us take you to a luxury experience we had at The Hotel Brussels.
A sophisticated lobby with high end facilities received us at the reception. It was so spacious and modern that you might get intimidated with the mere sight of it but the warm greetings from the staff made us feel welcomed. Every inch looked so perfect and mesmerizing that I didn’t noticed it was time for us to go up in our room. Check-in was swiftly done by the lovely receptionist.
Entered our Deluxe Panorama room, we were completely thrilled! Every corner displays elegance and luxury. From its classy color of cream and white to the clear display of high end furniture and e-system up to its smartly designed minimal interior – I bet all guest stayed here felt absolutely relaxed.
And our ultimate favorite, the views! The spectacular views of the city can be seen in all rooms of the hotel which is undoubtedly one of the strong points of the property. Spending some couple time in the long window sofa admiring the views of the city was totally unforgettable.
This room is a stunner as there are lots of features that keep us entertained and feeling cosy such as the Mediahub, the 40” Smart TV and of course the strong connection of free WIFI. To add with the coziness, the private fridge comes with complimentary water, wine, beer and soft drinks plus a Nespresso machine. Yes guys! Your very own coffee machine at the comfort of the room!
The king-size bed was so comfortable that we woke up an extra hour late to our alarmed time. But it didn’t stop us from using the open bathroom for more hours! Concept is appropriate for couples like us but you can opt to fully close it. Bathroom amenities are from a known NYC brand C.O. Bigelow. It was equally lavish as the room.
The Panorama Lounge
Staying in a Deluxe Panorama room made us feel more special as there’s an exclusive access to the Panorama Lounge at the 24th floor where we enjoyed complimentary refreshing drinks, delicious snacks and of course the breath-taking views of the city. Seems like this hotel is designed to leave you breathless because of the view!
Breakfast at The Restaurant
We will not lie, missing the usual buffet we used to have back in Dubai was a major struggle for us when we stayed in hostels :p So having to experience the luxurious treats in The Hotel Brussels was an absolute delight! 🙂 A buffet breakfast in The Restaurant (a renowned restaurant in the city of Pierre Balthazar) was included when you book the same room.
Elegance is the first thing we’ve noticed upon entering the restaurant. From the black and mustard gold-like colored chairs up to the sleek ceiling design, everything looked so new and modern. You might think it’s more proper for a dinner setting but the bright lights and natural sunlight and lush green landscape from the window made it a perfect setting for breakfast.
When it comes to the food, there are so many options to choose from! Fresh and tasty are the perfect words to describe the breakfast. The buffet here has a decent range of breakfast food for guests and is more on the functional side with items from the Western countries. We clearly know why as the hotel is jam-packed with guests all over the world! Pastries and bread were really fresh and pretty delectable. Salads, cheeses & cold cuts, bacon, baked cheese, hash brown, sausages, waffles & pancakes, cereals and more. What we mainly loved about the breakfast at The Restaurant was the extensive variety of food items on offer combined with high quality.
The Urban Spa & Fitness
All hotel guests are entitled with a free access at the hotel’s Urban Spa and Fitness located at the 23rd floor. It might be the usual sauna or steam room and gym (equipped with complete training equipment) but what made it on top of the line are again, the spectacular views of the city! To experience pure relaxation and indulgence, there are Spa treatment rooms. Who wouldn’t love to have a massage gazing at these views? 🙂
The Hotel caters not only the leisure travelers like us but business travelers too. It has 12 meeting rooms, a ball room that can accommodate 400 people. I have to admit that the meeting rooms are better than the ball room if you’re trying to impress since it’s located in upper floors of – 25 to 27 with remarkable views.
Staff and Service
The staff really went out of their way to make our stay a comfortable one. From the warm welcome at the reception, prompt response from the housekeeping, friendly staff at the Urban Spa & Fitness, The Restaurant. They pay attention to the little details and it is out of those details that they bring added convenience to guests. The concierge even provided us with an itinerary to discover Brussels! Everything was really of 5 star rating – the luxurious facilities, elegant room with the fantastic view, delicious breakfast was nothing to complain about either and the services was highly commendable. Together, these create the best lasting impression to us that we will certainly keep.
The Hotel Brussels is perfectly base on the Boulevard de Waterloo, one of the city’s best and most fashionable shopping streets. Paris has Champs Elysées, NYC has Fifth Avenue and Brussels has this – the Boulevard de Waterloo. The Hotel is literally just a few minutes away from several of the top attractions in the city like the European Parliament and Sablon square. As much as we wanted not to leave, we can’t help but explored Brussels as the property is in a prime location!
We spent less than 2 days in Brussels and here are the attractions nearby The Hotel Brussels that you can visit by foot. You can opt to have the Superior room for lesser price, it’s advertised as €171 per night in the website. If you booked directly on their website, special rates are available.
Great for both business and leisure, the property is perhaps one of the most compelling hotels in the country. One practically needs not to leave The Hotel while staying here unless attending to some business or sightseeing activities. We can genuinely say that we had a very relaxing stay and a luxury experience in the property. We’d like to thank the whole staff and the team behind this hotel especially to Max. You guys are awesome!
