Last weekend, the very kind Doc Gelo invited us to try the brunch at Dusit Thani. When he mentioned seafood, I immediately convinced my husband to reschedule whatever his plans are! Haha And c’mon guys, it’s DUSIT THANI! Undoubtedly, everyone knows this iconic 5 star Thai luxury hotel. Along with the prominent name and award winning facilities, the hotel is also known for its lavish restaurants, a bar and lounge. Let us take you to our first dining experience here.
Being located in the heart of the city where the top attractions are also situated like Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall – going to Dusit Thani is easy. Take the metro red line and stop at Financial Centre Station and do a bit of walking. If you drive, a valet parking will be offered to you. Just inform them that you had a restaurant reservation.
The 3 Restaurants
Benjarong, PAX Ristorante & Lounge and The Californian are three separate restaurants in the 24th floor of Dusit Thani hotel that get together once a week to serve a spectacular Friday brunch. While the signature restaurant Benjarong focuses on Thai cuisine, PAX on traditional Italian dishes, The Californian offers international options.
Burj Khalifa View at Pax Restaurant
Meeting up with Doc Gelo and new friend Ron, we went to the 24th floor of the hotel where the brunch is held. We were greeted with welcome drinks and accompanied by a staff to our reserved seats at the PAX restaurant. Those who are seated beside the window have a spectacular view of Sheikh Zayed Road and Burj Khalifa. While at the Benjarong restaurant, cultural Thai performers entertained the guests.
Food and Menu
There was so much food that it took me a while to decide what I wanted to start with. Live cooking stations for pasta, peking duck, crepes, noodles are available. From salad, Arabic mezze, waffles & pancakes, cheese and bread station, shawarma, soup, sushi, maki rolls, sashimi, desserts and the highlight of the brunch – an endless variety of SEAFOOD placed in the middle was a crowd pleaser. Certainly a true haven to adventurous foodies, it can satiate a wide range of palates – Thai, Italian, Indian, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Western, International.
And many more!
Staff and Service
From the moment they received us until we left the place, all was taken care of. Changing of plates, offering of drinks, the gracious hospitality from its Chefs and staff are felt throughout our dining. A free WIFI is available too.
With the extensive offerings, live cooking stations, seafood quarter, ice carving centerpiece, cultural Thai performances, Burj Khalifa views, warm hospitality, and attentive service over good conversations are the things that made our Dusit Thani Friday brunch absolutely enjoyable. Massive thanks to Doc Gelo and Ms. Danelle! 🙂
